Requirements for articles
The editorial board of the of the journal "Scientific collections of the Lviv National Academy of Music named after M. V. Lysenko" in its work is guided by the norms of Ukrainian legislation in the field of education, scientific activity and intellectual property. Original scientific research and materials that have not been published before, as well as translations from foreign languages that have not been published in Ukrainian, are accepted for publication in the journal - with the consent of the author or legal successor, and have important theoretical and practical significance for musicology, music performance, music pedagogy , music criticism and other areas of musical culture.
Articles submitted for publication must strictly meet the scientific and technical requirements of the journal. The editorial board will strictly monitor the observance of ethical norms when using the materials of other researchers, namely the inadmissibility of copyright infringement, the use of plagiarism in various forms. An article in which borrowing from the materials of other authors without reference to the source is found is not returned for revision and is not published, and its author may submit other material to the editorial board. All citations must end with references to sources.
Articles are submitted in Ukrainian and English.
Technical requirements for articles:
- text in Microsoft Word format; Times New Roman font;
- the volume of the article - up to 13 pages - 20,000 characters with spaces (0.25 auto. sheet).
- the text is typed with an interval of 1.5; 14 pins. Margins: upper – 2 cm, bottom – 2 cm, left – 3 cm, right – 1.5 cm.
- text notes – page by page, numbering starts anew on each page;
- the article may include graphic materials - drawings, tables, photo illustrations (numbered and titled);
- tables are typed in Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel format.
- quotation marks - «».
Text structure is as follows:
- UDC.
- Title of the article (all capital letters).
- Full name of the author (-s).
- Scientific degree, academic rank, affiliation.
- ORCID number (mandatory), Scopus-Author ID, Researcher ID (indicated if there are indexed publications in Scopus/Web of Science).
- Abstract and keywords in Ukrainian and English with a translation of the name and surname of the author(s) in the volume of at least 1,800 printed characters.
- The main text of the article.
A scientific article must meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine and provide for the following sequence of structural elements of the text part:
Introduction
Materials and methods
Disscussion
Results at the end, the conclusions from this study are presented and the prospects for further research in this direction are briefly presented.
- Tables and graphics are numbered consecutively using Arabic figures. Notes to a table are textual. The graphics are named below. Names of the tables and graphics are aligned center.
- Figures and photographs (b&w, greyscale) are “installed” in the main text of an article and sent additionally as individual files in one of the following formats: TIFF, PCX, JPG, BMP, CDR.
- The list of cited literature is ordered according to citation within the text. The word “REFERENCES” is bold. When drawing up the list, you should comply with the requirements of the National Standard of Ukraine DSTU 8302: 2015 “Information and documentation. Bibliographic reference. General provisions and rules of composition”.
- At the end of the article, a transliterated and translated English version of the literature (References) is placed, designed in accordance with APA (American Psychological Association) agreements.
The author of the article is responsible for the authenticity of the presented material, for the personal ownership of this material, for the correct citation of sources and references to them.
The author may be refused publication if its scientific level, subject and design do not meet the specified requirements. The editors reserve the right to make editorial changes including literary and linguistic corrections agreed with the author of the publication.
