Images of the Motherland, patriotic feelings occupy an important place in Chinese art – both in poetry and in music. In this, the culture of the Celestial Empire is consonant with most of the spiritual traditions of the countries of the world, both Eastern and Western. However, in revealing national-patriotic images, Chinese art has a number of specific features, in particular, a complex symbolic system, indirect veiled allusions and associations through which it conveys love for the native land. Among them, a common form is the parallelism of images of nature and patriotic feelings. Landscape lyrics, glorifying the beauty and perfection of nature often served as an impetus for thinking about the fate of the native country, social relations, and political events. Therefore, it is appropriate to consider the symbols and metaphors of nature in their interaction with the lofty ethical ideals of the Motherland. A clear expression of this interaction in the unity of the poetic and musical primal is the chamber and vocal music of Chinese authors. This layer of musical and poetic art represents the specificity of the artistic embodiment of patriotic images in the aesthetic plane of the specific Chinese tradition. Taking into account the specifics of artistic thinking, selected chamber and vocal works of Chinese composers are considered. Despite all the social changes, composers and music teachers continue to nurture patriotic ideals in the modern infrastructure of artistic life, educational principles and the system of spiritual values. In the musical and poetic synthesis of chamber and vocal artifacts of the 20’th – 21’st centuries. images of the Motherland will continue to be interpreted according to the Confucian canon – in a complex symbolic interaction with images of nature. The foundations of the modern reincarnation of the image of the Motherland through the symbols of nature were noted. In modern poetry, to which composers turn, there are analogies to ancient literary texts, especially the poetry of “mountains and a year” and “gardens and fields”. This sets the composers the task of combining the elements of sound imagery and expressive intonation in the musical language, through which feelings of admiration for the native land are embodied. In the analyzes of solo singers, the declamatory elements of the melody are singled out, and in the texture and harmony – coloristic and spatial methods of expression.
