The methodology of the article consists in applying of different methods, such as theoretical, analytical, historical and comparative generalizing approaches. The scientific novelty is connected with the studying of the impact of contemporary public inquiries on the note publishing movement in the perspective of musical infrastructure. Conclusions. One of the components of the musical infrastructure is publishing, which includes both book and note publishing. There is an actual need in Ukrainian-language editions of musicology literature to satisfy educational and pedagogical needs at different levels (from elementary (musical schools) to the institutions of higher education. This up-to-date music literature should be rid of ideo-logical stamps and clichés. At the same time, the very actual public need is the publication of musical literature of Ukrainian authors, from the classics to the contemporaries, the creation of modern music anthologies of different genres, for the purpose of «restoring the musical memory of Ukrainian culture, ... preserving the national sound continuum» (after L. Shevchuk-Nazar). In connection with the revitalization and the «return from oblivion» of the rich layer of Ukrainian spiritual music, an important need for the noted musical editions is observed. The prerogative of cultural policy should be the state support of the national music publishing company, which is now largely due to the enthusiasm of the composers themselves, some performers and resear-chers. Currently there are many private publishing houses, as well as publishing houses at educational institutions (universities, academies etc.). The marker of nowadays is free access to Internet resources, so users have free access to downloadable music sites.
