NESTOR NYZHANKIVSKYI DURING THE WAR OF INDEPENDENCE

Abstract

The study outlines the life and work of Nestor Nyzhankivskyi during the War of Independence. He was a soldier and spent three years in Russian captivity; later, he was involved in the development of musical life of the Ukrainian People’s Republic in Kyiv. During this time, he created original compositions and arrangements of patriotic songs.
