The goal of the work. To update the innovative aspects of the pedagogical repertoire of the young pianist in the context of the formation and development of the Ukrainian repertoire policy of the primary piano performing school through familiarization with the work of the artist of the Chernihiv School of Composers Oleksandr Ivanko. The research methodology research is based on system-analytical and theoretical methods. The scientific novelty consists in opening to the general public the innovative pedagogical repertoire, which is the creative piano output of Oleksandr Ivanko, a Ukrainian composer from the Chernihiv region of the end of the 20th – the first quarter of the 21st centuries. Conclusions: based on the results of the research, the innovative aspects of the pedagogical repertoire of the young pianist were updated in the context of the formation and development of the Ukrainian repertoire policy of the primary piano performance school through acquaintance with the work of the artist of the Chernihiv School of Composers Oleksandr Ivanko. It has been established that it is important to study and introduce the latest modern collections of domestic composers into the repertoire list of beginner students of art schools of Ukraine, since their works are endowed with features with their inherent national images and colorful means of expression. The creative output of the artist of the Chernihiv School of Composers of the end of the 20th – the first quarter of the 21st centuries Oleksandr Ivanko has a nationally expressed character and is unique.
