Conclusions. The S. Ludkevich’s symphony-cantata "Kavkaz" was studied, the important dramatic tasks of the composer, revealed by the proximity of the natural sensation of music by T. Shevchenko, were thoroughly illustrated by S. Lyudkevych in his work. This angle is definitely complemented by conducting observations due to musical-theoretical analysis. Thus M.
