Abstract

The article investigates the problem of adapting classical music education to the conditions of clip (fragmentary) thinking of the contemporary learner, shaped by the digital media environment and short formats of information delivery. The cognitive characteristics of the twenty-first-century student audience are analysed, in particular the reduction of attention span and the phenomenon of «alienation from the text» in working with the classical repertoire. It is substantiated that creativity is not an optional addition but a system-forming principle of effective piano pedagogy, capable of building a bridge between the media consciousness of the modern learner and the academic tradition. The theoretical basis of the study comprises H. Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, M. Csikszentmihalyi's concept of flow states, K. Robinson's ideas on the development of creativity, and J. Dewey's philosophy of experiential learning. Special attention is paid to the author's piano collection as an innovative educational model that combines the chronological principle of repertoire organisation, from the Baroque era to the twenty-first century, with a methodology addressed to the contemporary student. The principles of progressive complexity, artistic-technical synthesis, aesthetic and intellectual hierarchy, and the hybrid end-to-end programme underlying the selection of works are revealed. The motivational mechanisms and the pedagogical potential of the recognisability of musical images are examined, as well as the technical organisation of the repertoire exemplified by the Baroque section and the creative dimension of the collection – a system of stimulating creative tasks and pedagogical commentaries in the format of a dialogue between the author and the learner. The cultural-educational and therapeutic functions of the collection under the conditions of wartime in Ukraine are outlined. It is demonstrated that the author's collection functions not only as a didactic tool but also as a cultural and educational artefact that shapes the aesthetic taste and critical musical thinking of a new generation of performers.
